Instructions for Marchers

2025 Line of March Information Thank you for your participation in the Sound Shore St. Patrick's Day Parade. We are looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday, March 29th, in Mamaroneck.

Please check the attachment for your position in the line of march. It is essential for individuals and groups to adhere to their assigned positions in the line of march. While individuals are welcome to socialize after registering, please return to your assigned division and line of march position immediately prior to the start of the parade. This is important to aide logistics, and to assist the LMC Media commentators and our parade emcee.

Here is some additional information in preparation for your arrival that day:

• The parade steps off promptly at 1:30 pm. Please plan to arrive in the Mamaroneck area between noon and 12:30 to check in at registration. The VOMPD will begin to shut down parts of Mamaroneck Avenue to regular traffic at approximately 12:30.

• There will be a registration station set up in front of Mamaroneck Avenue School (850 Mamaroneck Avenue, Mamaroneck.) There, you can check in with a committee member to get your position in the lineup (please double check, as late changes are sometimes necessary), and you will be directed to your specific staging point. You will also collect wristbands for access to the Hospitality Tent at the end of the parade route in Harbor Island Park; please send one representative from your group to the check in with the number in your party. Complimentary refreshments are for marchers only.

• A shuttle service will be available to take marchers from Harbor Island (located at the intersection of Mamaroneck Ave and Boston Post Rd.) to the staging area surrounding MAS. There is parking available at Harbor Island.

• Musical groups are expected to stop and do a brief performance in front of the reviewing stand to honor the Grand Marshal.• Once marchers are situated in the staging area near Mamaroneck Avenue School prior to the start of the parade, buses and other modes of transportation will be directed down to the parking lot in Harbor Island Park, located at the intersection of Mamaroneck Ave. and Boston Post Rd. The parade route ends at Harbor Island, so this will facilitate easy pickup of your group.

• Expect the parade route, which starts near the intersection of Nostrand and Mamaroneck Avenues, to take approximately 20 minutes to walk.  In the event emergency vehicles should need to leave the line of march, all parade participants should move to the left.

• For any fire departments with apparatus, keep in mind that there is a railway trestle to pass underneath on the parade route. The clearance is 10 ft. 11 in. Please let us know in advance if you cannot clear this, and we can arrange for you to be rerouted. Floats are prohibited.

• Insurance prohibits marchers from tossing candy, beads, souvenirs, etc., to spectators along the parade route.

Please let us know if you have any questions.
